Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, NCS, has issued an Office Memorandum stating that a special initiative titled “One Day with Deputy Commissioner” is being launched on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, September 5.

According to it, the initiative is designed to motivate, build confidence, and provide valuable exposure to students by giving them a firsthand experience of the functioning of the District Administration. It also aims to introduce students to the system of governance at the district level and inspire them toward careers in public service.

Under the programme, five meritorious and interested students from both private and government schools within Kohima district will be nominated through their respective schools via the District Education Officer (DEO).
