DC Kohima Takes Actions to Tackle Fuel Adulteration and Improve Air Quality

Kohima: Operation, carried out between July 15th and 29th, 2023, strictly adhered to the guidelines set by the Central Pollution Control Board

Shanavas C IAS, the Deputy Commissioner & Chairperson of the District Implementation Committee, NCAP, Kohima, has spearheaded initiatives as part of the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) for Kohima City. The primary focus of these efforts has been to combat fuel adulteration, enhance public hygiene facilities, ensure fire safety measures, and conduct random checks on fuel quality and quantity data at fuel stations within the Kohima Municipality area and other regions of the Kohima district.

The. Multiple departments collaborated on this significant endeavor, including the District Administration, Kohima Police, Legal & Metrology, Consumer Protection, Health & Family Welfare Department, Kohima Municipal Council, and Fire & Emergency Services across North & South Kohima, Chiephobozou, Khuzama, Zubza, Jakhama, and Kezocha.
