‘Süoshi’, a clothing store, was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Thsuvusie Phoji in Arkong Ward, Mokokchung on 17 February 2025. The store, located adjacent to PC Garage, aims to bring transformation in the fashion scene in Mokokchung and beyond, a press release stated.

In his speech, DC Mokokchung highlighted the vast potential for entrepreneurship in Mokokchung. Phoji reminded that the region offers numerous opportunities for startups and emphasised that by pursuing these opportunities and taking the leap to start up, entrepreneurs in Mokokchung can contribute to the region’s economic growth and development.

On the occasion, the proprietor, Moamenla Longkumer, expressed her gratitude to DC Phoji for gracing the occasion. She also thanked her parents, family, friends, and team members for their unwavering support and encouragement.

The inauguration was also attended by the youth pastor, Mokokchung Municipal Council Councillor, Wabang Kichu, Assistant Commisioner District Administration Mokokchung and others.

The store’s name, Süoshi, is deeply rooted in the local culture, drawing inspiration from the Mongsen and Chungli languages. The store showcases distinct collection of clothing and accessories for men, women, and children, including exquisite wedding dresses and traditional attire aims to provide high-quality, affordable clothing to the people of Mokokchung and neighboring districts.
