Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji has ordered the complete closure of the road between Mokokchung to Chare via Dikhu for vehicular movements for the safety of the commuters and onsite workers.

The Advisory stated that the ongoing widening of existing single lane to intermediate land road has caused massive landslides and rockfalls and advised the travelers from Mokokchung to Chare and vice versa are to take alternative route Sewak Gate- Moalenden-Meyilong- chare.

The order will be effective until the end of monsoon season or further notice.
