Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS has informed to all the concerned that in pursuance to the directives of the State Election Commission, Nagaland, use of mobile phone by the candidates, election agents, Polling Agents, and voters inside the polling station on the polling day will not be allowed irrespective of whether it is kept in silent or switch off mode.

Except for the Polling Officials including Presiding Officer, 1st Polling Officer and 2nd Polling Officer shall be allowed to use inside the polling station for the communication if necessary for poll related and to updates to the Returning Officer, the DC stated.

Further, it has been informed that on the day of Counting except the Observers, Deputy Commissioner and ROs/ AROs, other persons including the candidates, Counting Agents, Counting Officials shall not be allowed to use mobile phone inside the counting Hall on the counting day.
