DC Tseminyu prohibits all roadside mining activities along NH-2

Tseminyu: Clearance from relevant authorities must for mining activities within 50 meters on either side of the NH-2

Highlighting the issue of roadside mining along the National Highway resulting in damage to National Highway, Deputy Commissioner Tseminyu, Rohit Singh IAS has informed the following regulations are hereby notified with immediate effect.

– Roadside mining activities along NH-2 stretches under Tseminyu District shall be strictly prohibited to prevent any damage to the highway and associated structures.

– Any person or enterprise planning to carry out mining activities within 50 meters on either side of the NH-2 must obtain clearance from the relevant authorities, including District Administration to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Further, the DC has informed the general public and all concerned village authorities that engaging in unauthorised mining along the stretches of NH-2 will invite punitive action as per relevant provisions of law.
