Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS held a consultative meeting with the Dobashis (DB’s) under Zunheboto district at town hall, Zunheboto on April 6, informed DIPR.

The DC informed the DBs that the main reason for the meeting was to encourage one another for free and fair election for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. He requested the DBs to co-operate with the administration as done in the past elections which was conducted very successfully. He stated that, as the Deputy Commissioner of the district, he was giving his best for their welfare and advised them to work sincerely for the welfare of the public. He also added that DBs are the foot soldiers of the administration and asked them to refrain from campaigning or involving in politics being government servants. Mali called upon the gathering to give their best to ensure a free and fair election. He also assured the DBs he will do whatever he can to solve their problems.

EAC (HQ), Mopling M Phom in his short speech highlighted the role of the Dobashi. He also advised them to never use any shortcut means while taking any kind of case as it hampers the confidence of the public upon the DBs.
