The Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto district, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS has ordered restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles at 19.5 Km along the Coco-Doyang road (from Doyang Bridge to Kitsakita Junction).

In an advisory, the DC stated that the order is being issued in view of the incessant rainfall that is causing “continuous landslides” and in order to prevent mishap/accident on the road that connects Wokha district to Zunheboto district.

Further, light/medium vehicles are advised to take precautionary measures while plying the route, the advisory stated.

Heavy vehicles have been directed to take the alternative route of VK-Alichen-Akuluto-Zunheboto.
