Dead body found in car at Nagarjan, Dimapur

A lifeless body of a man was discovered inside a locked vehicle in Full Nagarjan area near the Power House, Dimapur on June 21 afternoon, triggering shock and concern among locals.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as a 35-year-old resident of Dilong Ward, Mokokchung, based on documents recovered at the scene, including an AADHAR and Voter ID card. He was identified as Kikasashi, reportedly employed with BSNL.

The body was found inside a Maruti Celerio with a Meghalaya registration number. Eyewitnesses informed that the car had been parked in the area between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM. A passerby, sensing something unusual, alerted the police.

Personnel from East Police Station promptly arrived at the location and took over. The body was later sent to District Hospital Dimapur for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Police have contacted the deceased’s family, and further investigation is underway.
