Along with the rest of the nation, DEF Wokha observed the Police Commemoration Day at SP Office, Wokha on 21st October 2024.

Superintendent of Police, Wokha, Aotula T Imchen, IPS delivering the commemoration message said, “The day is a significant day as it is observed as martyr’s day in all police forces and paramilitary forces across India. She added that it is a solemn day to remember the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and in defending the country.”

Imchen appealed the police personnel and officers to be disciplined, courageous and dedicated while in the line of performing the challenges tusk ahead. She further encouraged them to get inspiration from the sacrifices of the martyrs and move forward in their path of their duty will devotion dedication and sense of responsibility while serving the society.

Addl. S.P, Wokha, K. Soriso, NPS read out the list of police martyrs. It was followed by laying of wreaths, which was led by SP Wokha followed by the officers and other ranks of DEF Wokha.
