Delhi celebrated the 61st Statehood Day of Nagaland at Raj Niwas on December 1. This was shared in a post on X by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena. “Nagaland is one of the fastest emerging tourist destinations, and that the land of festivals masters the balance between the traditional & the modern, is an exemplary beacon of our national ‘Look east & Act east’ policy,” mentioned the post.

His tweet further said, “Thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the traditional dance and folk song presented during the occasion. I congratulate the people of Nagaland on their Statehood Day and wish them the very best for their internationally famous 10-day Hornbill Festival, that begins today.”
The room witnessed a vibrant presentation of Naga youths in their traditional attires.
