The Agriculture and Allied Department organised a farewell programme for R.Binchilo Thong, Agriculture Production Commissioner and DG Administrative Training Institute at Hotel De Orential Kohima on December 20. The programme was organised in honour of the retiring IAS senior officer after serving in the state government in different capacity for 37 years.

The Department congratulated the retiring APC and lauded him for his valuable contribution at various levels during his entire service career. While acknowledging him for his governance in the administration.

Brief farewell speeches were delivered by Bandanglila, NCS Jt.Secretay L&E & Addl.Director ATI, Dr.Kruolalie Tsurho, Team Leader NBRM, Chonpenthung Ezung, NCS, Deputy Secretary Agriculture ELEMENT and M.Ben Yanthan Director, Agriculture.

The service profile of retiring IAS was highlighted by Khonthungo Lotha Jt.Secretary Agriculture.

Binchilo Thong IAS,speaking on the event,said that his 37 years and 11 months of service under the Government of Nagaland was a big achievement. He encouraged the officers and staff to seek the cooperation of the people and encourage to uphold the value of team work for the improvement of department.

Thong also enlightened his experiences of work ethics in various level of his service career. The programme was chaired by Sushil Kumar Patel IAS commissioner and Secretary Agriculture -S&WC while the vote of thanks was delivered by Kietuo Doulo, Under Secretary Agriculture.
