The Department of Technical Education organised a felicitation programme in honour of Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba at the Directorate Auditorium, Kohima on 3 April 2023, DIPR stated.

The Advisor stressed on the importance of technical education in the State and its vital role in creating employability opportunities for diploma pass-out students. He urged the Department to apply critical thought processes in planning and execution of various programme to achieve larger goals. Further, he reminded the Department to focus more on research and development, placement of students and partnering with private players.

Director, Technical Education, Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu highlighted the various activities and programs of the Department.

The programme was chaired by Commissioner & Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Kenilo Apon, IAS while vote of thanks was proposed by Additional Director, Tiakaba Amer. The program was attended by Joint Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Principals of the Polytechnics and the officers & staff from the Directorate of Technical Education.
