Dept of AH&VS organise State Level Training on 21st Livestock Census on Software & Breeds

Kohima: Training aimed to update technical knowledge, upgrade soft skills of technical officers engaged in Livestock Census

The Department of A.H & Veterinary Services, Kohima organized a one day State Level Training on 21st Livestock Census on Software (Mobile App/Dashboard) & Breeds for District Nodal Officers & Supervisors in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Kohima-Nagaland on 22nd August, 2024.

This training was organized to update the technical knowledge and upgrade the soft skills of technical officers who are engaged in the Livestock Census. The programme was chaired by Peter Yanthan (ESO) and he requested the officials to actively participate in the training sessions and during the discussion hours.

The keynote address was delivered by Addl. Director and State Nodal Officer (LC & ISS), Dr. N. Mhonchan Shitiri, where he stressed on the importance of the Livestock Census and the exercise which is to be conducted diligently and ensuring utmost data quality.

The technical sessions were conducted by Dr. Suiding Hinglak (VAS) and Njulo Kent, Deputy Director ISS. The trainees were guided through the Dashboard monitoring, technical navigation on Livestock Census. The next round of district training will be conducted on all the 16 districts after which the actual enumeration will be done on 1st September till December 2024.

Earlier, Invocation was pronounced by Dr. Wopanthung Ezung (Joint Director) and votes of thanks by Dr. Imomanen Tzudir.
