Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party leader, Yanthungo Patton held a thanksgiving programme at Mini Stadium (Football ground), Old Riphyim village in Wokha on Saturday.

In his thanksgiving speech, Patton attributed his victory to God and also expressed his gratitude to all his supporters for having faith in him and electing him as their leader again.

Patton also expressed his gratitude to the 11 BJP legislators for reposing faith in him and electing him as their BJP leader during this tenure. He also informed that he will be going on an official tour to Niro range, Chukitong range and Englan range.

Assuring to help everyone, he stated that he considered every Lotha as his family and sought the cooperation of the people for better results in the coming days.

Short speeches were delivered by ex-MLA Yankithung Yanthan and Dr. Thungchamo Ezung, ex-candidate.

Special song was presented by Lobeno Tungoe and Mhademo Enny, while the welcome address was given by Ekonthung Kikon, 37 A/C BJP Mandal president. Vote of thanks was proposed by Hachio Patton.

On opposition-less government

Speaking to Nagaland Tribune about the meeting between NDPP and BJP regarding opposition-less government, Patton informed that unless they are intimated by the party high command, they cannot comment on it.
