The annual Cleanliness Drive cum Demonstration of Handwash was conducted at District Hospital, Tuensang on 11th November 2023. The activity received support from the community who came out to support the hospital by carrying out the social work.

The event was organised under the leadership of Dr Senilo Magh, Psychiatrist, District Hospital Tuensang and Kamchila, Chaplain, DH Tuensang with the aim to encourage all to keep the environment in and around the hospital clean and also to promote sense of ownership in the community.

Ajang, Youth Pastor, Yimkhiung Baptist Church, Tuensang also took active part in mobilising the youth for the cleanliness event.

The volunteers and the staff of DH Tuensang took part in cleaning the drains and clearing the weed and shrubs within the hospital premise. Later, the participants took the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan pledge, promising to keep their surrounding clean, not to litter and to spread the ideals of Swachh Bharat Mission wherever they go.

The staff of DH Tuensang also presented a demonstration on handwash to educate the general public about the life-saving activity of proper hand-washing with soap.
