Dimapur 24/7 honours 3 exceptional women on International Women’s Day

On the occasion of on International Women’s Day, Dimapur 24/7 honoured three exceptional women for their significant contributions to society. The women included Azule, Anita (Rani) Saha and Seema Bhowal.

In a press release, Dimapur 24/7 stated that it celebrated these remarkable women as a representative of countless women who often remain unsung even after all that they have done for the society. Their dedication and resilience serve as an inspiration to all, it said.

Azule, a traditional healer and massage therapist

Dimapur 24/7 stated that 67-year-old Azule’s story stands as an inspiration, reminding us of the power of kindness, faith, and healing hands in a world that often overlooks unsung heroes. With no formal education and minimal family support, the dedicated healer from the Rengma community has been serving the community since the age of 13, providing traditional massage therapy and spiritual healing to those in need. She has never charged for her services, accepting only blessings in return. Despite great personal hardships, she continues to help people suffering from fractures and injuries through her healing touch.

Azule’s selfless service has brought relief to many over the decades, and she has never turned away anyone in need, welcoming people from all walks of life regardless of caste, creed, gender, or background.

As a token of appreciation, the Dimapur 24/7 team, under the leadership of Annie Jain, presented her with a sack of rice and a cash gift, acknowledging her commitment to serving others.

Anita (Rani) Saha, mother of Niranjan Saha, founder of the Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF)

Dimapur 24/7 also felicitated Saha, a resilient and devoted mother, who played a crucial role in supporting her son through immense struggles, enabling him to establish VWF in 2015. Despite facing adversity, Niranjan persevered to create a platform that helps individuals voice their grievances and work toward community welfare.

In recognition of her sacrifices and steadfast support, Dimapur 24/7 presented her with a special shawl and gift.

Seema Bhowal, a budding social worker

Additionally, Dimapur 24/7 honoured Seema Bhowal, a social worker for her contributions to various social initiatives. Through her active participation in multiple organizations, she has consistently extended support to individuals and groups in need. Acknowledging her efforts, the Dimapur 24/7 team presented her with a shawl and a gift.
