Dimapur emerged as champions of the 6th G Rio Trophy Men’s U19 Inter District Tournament 2026, defeating Kohima by 5 wickets in the final at Sovima Cricket Ground, Tseminyu. A disciplined bowling performance followed by a composed chase ensured Dimapur lifted the title in a convincing manner.
Kohima – Innings: 74 all out in 26.2 overs
After winning the toss and opting to bat, Kohima struggled to build momentum against a sharp Dimapur bowling attack and were bowled out for 74 runs.
Imkongtemsu was the top scorer with a patient 17 off 58 balls, but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup.
Dimapur’s bowlers dominated proceedings, with Samir Ali (3/14), Yashimeren Jamir (3/9), and Raja Kumar (3/20) sharing the wickets and dismantling the Kohima innings with precision.

Chasing a modest target of 75, Dimapur approached the innings steadily and reached 77/5 in 23.3 overs.
Shivam top-scored with 18 off 35 balls, guiding the chase despite a few middle-order setbacks.
Kohima’s bowlers showed resilience, with Solomon Awungshi (3/14) and Sangtsulen Tshunlerii (2/28) picking up wickets, but the target proved too small to defend.
