Dimapur DC urges HoDs, officials of work with zeal and spirit during ULB polls

Dimapur: DC thanks HoDs for generous contributions towards conduct of NOPG 2024

Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, has urged all Head of Departments and officials to work with zeal and spirit during the Municipal/Town Council elections to ensure peaceful free and fair polls. He reminded them that nomination for the elections will commence by 7th June 2024.

The DC and Vice Chairman of the Dimapur District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) said this during the monthly meeting of the Board which was conducted on Thursday at the Conference Hall of DC’s Office, DIPR said in a report.

Dr Chang had earlier expressed gratitude to all the HoDs and officials for their unflinching services rendered during the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. “Because of your cooperation and dedication, the General Election to Lok Sabha was conducted successfully under Dimapur district,” he remarked.

He also thanked all the HoDs for their generous contributions during the conduct of Nagaland Olympics and Paralympic tournament held in the month of February 2024.  He informed that because of these contributions, the District Administrator could lend a helping hand to Better Dimapur Team for organising the sports week for the orphanage.

According to DIPR, the agenda of the DPDB meeting included reviewing of last meeting minutes where the house agreed to forward the registration of Nagaland NGOs Forum for further necessary action. The other agendas of the day included – Proposal for registration of societies pertaining to Usutomi Union Dimapur, Alashi Foundation Dimapur, Association of Naga Indigenous Games & Sports Dimapur and Recognition of Arok village under Dimapur district, Change of nomenclature from Nagaland Film Association to Nagaland Movies and Broadcasting Industry, Change of nomenclature from Public College of Commerce to Public College Dimapur were thoroughly deliberated, and the House agreed to recommend and forward to the Government for further necessary action.
