Dimapur gets fresh NPP youth leadership

The National People’s Party (NPP) today achieved a new milestone with the formal induction of the Dimapur District Youth Front (NPYF) office bearers at the NPP State Headquarters, Dimapur. The event marked a significant step in strengthening the party’s presence in the commercial hub of Nagaland.

The programme was chaired by T Chuba Jamir GS(Adm) NPP and the programme opened with an invocation by Khehoshe Sumi, State Secretary NPP, invoking blessings for the newly formed team.

Yangba Imchen, State President NPYF Nagaland, welcomed the district team and urged them to “be torchbearers of change and growth for NPP in Dimapur.”

The new team was felicitated by A Nyamnyei Konyak, MLA and State President NPP Nagaland.

In his first address, Zato Sumi, President NPYF Dimapur District, reaffirmed: “We are committed to building NPP at the grassroots, and we will work with unity and dedication for the people of Dimapur.”

K James Vizo, State Vice President NPP reminded that NPP’s foundation rests on Christian values, calling upon party leaders to “serve the people with compassion and uphold the constitution and discipline of the party.”

Addressing the rank and file, A Nyamnyei Konyak expressed delight at the growth of NPP in Nagaland, stating, “NPP is steadily rising as a people’s alternative. We must carry the vision of the party to the grassroots because NPP is truly the people’s party – one united voice of the Northeast.”

A press release issued by NPP stated that the newly inducted office bearers come from diverse professional backgrounds, including law, medicine, and entrepreneurship. They represent a generation of educated, promising youth with zeal to serve the people and to work for the growth of the party under the platform of the National People’s Party.

Stating that their decision to join NPP reflects the growing confidence among the people of Nagaland in the party’s vision and policies, the NPP anticipated that more individuals, particularly from tribal communities, would continue to join in the near future as the party emerges as a credible and people-centric political   alternative in the state.

Meanwhile, the newly inducted Dimapur District NPYF team includes Zato Sumi – President; Watilemjen – Vice President; Dr. David Suonruo – Vice President; Inato Chisho – General Secretary (Organisation); Shiva Reddy – General Secretary (Political Affairs & Protocol); Dr. Anato Uwu – Treasurer; Adv. Tovito Sema – Legal Advisor; Adv. Manikho Lasio – Legal Advisor; Ameka Khimo – Secretary (IPR); Atovi K. Nyusou – Secretary; and Ranunu – Secretary (Political Affairs & Protocol)

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Yesufi Snock, State Working President NPP Women’s Front Nagaland.
