Dimapur Police issues traffic advisory for National Red Run 3.0

In view of the ‘National Red Run 3.0’ organized by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) in collaboration with Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) and Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA) on October 30 from Agri Expo 4th Mile to CT Square Chumoukedima, Commissioner of Police Dimapur has issued traffic diversion/restrictions for the safety and convenience of the runners and the road users.

According to traffic advisory, the entire Right Hand Side stretch from Agri Expo 4th Mile till 7th Mile Junction would be closed for all vehicular traffic and no vehicles would be allowed to ply on this stretch of NH 29. This stretch would be exclusively reserved for the Road Race runners and event management. All feeder/approach roads on this side of the stretch would be closed to all motorised traffic for the duration of the event.

The Left Hand Side of NH 29 ( opposite lane) would be used as two Lane for vehicles plying towards Chumoukedima, as well as vehicles travelling towards Dimapur. Overtaking is strictly prohibited along this stretch.

Maximum speed limit in this stretch is fixed at 30 KM/hour. Stopping and parking of vehicles has been strictly prohibited along the stretch.

No vehicles would be allowed to be parked from Agri Expo Junction till 7th Mile Junction on both sides of the highway.

Entry/Exit of heavy vehicles has been strictly restricted from 3rd Mile Junction to Patkai Junction except for school buses and emergency service vehicles.

The temporary restrictions would commence with effect from 4 a.m. till 7 a.m. in the morning of  October 30( Thursday).
