Acting on specific information on October 24, regarding abduction of a businessman (local fish wholesaler) from his residence by three unidentified miscreants, Dimapur police conducted a search operation during which five accused persons were apprehended and the victim was rescued from Dubagaon area.

According to police, the vehicle used in the commission of crime has been seized and a case has been registered at Dimapur East Police Station and investigation is on.

The five arrested persons have been identified as Antu Mech (30 yrs), S/o G Mech, SS Tatar NSCN led Wangtin; Nagato Sumi (37 yrs), S/o Inavi Sumi, Rajapeyu NSCN led Wangtin; David Chishi (40 yrs), S/o Akheto Chishi; Amento Swu (40 yrs), S/o Yeveshe Swu; and Ruksana Begum (28 yrs), D/o Abdul Ali.
