The Dimapur Sporting Club in collaboration with the Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA), conducted a free football coaching camp at Mojabi Futsal Turf, Salangtem Ward, Mokokchung. The camp, which began on May 29 and concluded today, was open to children aged 6 to 16 years and aimed to foster young talent in the district. The coaches were Nungsangmeren and Rongsennungba, qualified coaches from the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
Yongsen Jamir from DSC informed that a total of 72 aspiring young players, including 5 girls, enrolled and participated in the coaching camp over the three days. Jamir stated that the coaching camp was extended by one day due to the high enthusiasm of players who wanted to attend, despite interruptions caused by exams during this time. He said that it was a successful camp overall.

He further informed that Dimapur Sporting Club will be opening their Dimapur SC Soccer Schools Academy and plans to establish their Football Academy Centre in Mokokchung, providing a structured platform for aspiring athletes to develop their skills.
He also added that Wokha is another district where they plan to establish another Football Academy Centre, while they currently have their Academies in Dimapur and Chümoukedima.
