The Athletics Federation of India is set to organize the “Khelo India Women’s League” in 25 cities across India from 17th to 21st September 2023, the Nagaland Athletics Association has announced. Among the chosen cities, Dimapur has been selected to host the Road Race events.

Following the directives from the Athletics Federation of India, the Nagaland Athletics Association will be conducting this prestigious event on September 18th, 2023.

The Khelo India Women’s League Road Race event in Dimapur will include the following categories:

U-16 Girls – 3 Km and Women – 5 Km

Cash awards will be given to the top five winners in each category, with the following prize amounts: 1st place – Rs. 4000, 2nd place – Rs. 3000, 3rd place – Rs. 2000, 4th place – Rs. 1500, and 5th place – Rs. 1000.

For age verification, participants should provide either their school Cumulative Record book or Aadhaar card.

Certificates of merit will be presented to all the top five winners, and all participants will receive participation certificates as well.

Athletes interested in participating can register by completing the Google form, accessible by scanning the provided QR code. The deadline for registration is 16th September 2023. The registration fee is Rs. 200 per participant. All participants are required to report to the Government Higher Secondary School ground in Half Nagarjan, Dimapur, at 5:00 am on the day of the competition.

The Nagaland Athletics Association extends a warm invitation to all interested female athletes to register and be part of the Khelo India Women’s League event.
