District Administrators informs on mass social work

Dimapur

The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Tinojongshi Chang (NCS) has announced a mass social work drive on November 22, 2024, from 6:00 AM onwards, in preparation for the festive season. The initiative will involve government employees, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC), NGOs, and the general public across all wards, villages, and colonies.

Key measures include the closure of all shops and businesses from 6:00 a.m till 12:00 noon, with penalties for defaulters. Departments are required to contribute vehicles and manage assigned areas, while ward councilors will supervise local efforts. Public dustbins will be maintained by DMC and EDTC, and individuals are urged to bring their own cleaning tools and area cleaning supervised by ward councilors and department personnel, with individuals urged to bring cleaning tools. The event will be widely publicized to ensure maximum participation.

The District Public Relations Officer will ensure wide publicity through media and announcements. Citizens are encouraged to actively participate in making this initiative a success.

Tuensang

Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang has informed that a mass social work will be conducted on 22th Nov 2024 from 7:00 AM onwards in Tuensang. The DC further directed all the Department, Wards, Businesses establishments and public of Tuensang town to actively participate in the Mass social work at their respective wards and colonies.

The HoD, businesses establishments and Chambers of Commerce shall also conduct similar social work in their respective offices premises, and all shops and business establishments shall remain closed during the mass social work. The ward Presidents shall ensure active participation of all wards members/ residents in their respective wards/colony.

Tening

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, K. Furhesie Nyuwi has informed that a mass social work will be held across Tening Sub Division on 22nd November 2024 starting from 7:00 AM onwards.

The circular informs that:

  1. All Government offices/ establishments/ educational institutions shall clean their respective compounds.
  2. All residents of Towns and villages under Tening sub-division shall work in their respective towns/ villages.
  3. Tening Town Council Chairman along with councillors shall supervise work in Tening Town area
  4. Village Councils shall supervise in the village area.
  5. All Milages shall make their own arrangement of disposal of waste.
  6. Pictures of the activity maybe shared in the following whatsapp groups,  ‘Tening Officers’. Tening & Nsong Circle’ and Tening Town Council 2024’.
