Impulse NGOs Network (INGON) in collaboration with Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre Dimapur (BYWCD) donated medical equipment to District Hospital Noklak on Saturday.
Chenithung Humtsoe, INCON – BWYCD State Team leader while presenting the purpose of their visit said that the organisation is trying to reach out to the displaced persons. Asserting that majority of the Khiamniungans are in Myanmar than in India, Humtsoe said that they have concerns towards those who got displaced due to the crisis in Myanmar.

Humtsoe said that in the last six months of the first phase, the organisation provided dry ration packages to 200 families in Noklak. In the second phase, the organisation is implementing Agro Forestry Plantation which is of long term and short-term plantation. The organisation has implemented Kiwi plantation in Noklak which is a long-term plantation, he added.
Stating that Noklak has a potential of development, Humtsoe said that they want to promote a healthy and safe tourism. Exemplifying that places like Nepal, Singapore and Switzerland have survived because of tourism industry, Humtsoe said that Nagaland can become one. He urged the established agencies and leaders to focus on doing something better not only about tribal issues.
Kathyinla, EAC Noklak, speaking on behalf of the District Administration stated that Noklak being a young district faces lots of challenges especially in health sector so NGOs such as this is welcome. This Intervention will not only make their lives easier but give hope for them in the future, she said.
Dr Victor, CMO Cum Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Noklak while expressing his gratitude and lauding the organisation, shared the needs and challenges of health sector under Noklak District. He said that the Primary Health Centre at Choklangan village will help people from Myanmar as being the bordering area once functioning. ITC, Dan upgraded to Primary Health Centre is in need of medical staffs, he added.

Impulse NGO Network is an organization dedicated to combating human trafficking and exploitation.
