The Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Arikumba launched the ‘Stop Diarrhoea Campaign’ at Noklak on July 1 at the DC Conference hall, Noklak under the slogan ‘Stop Diarrhoea through Hygiene and ORS’. The campaign will start from July 1 and will culminate on August 31.

Speaking on the launching programme, DC Noklak Arikumba stated that the ‘Stop Diarrhoea Campaign’ is a holistic campaign. He therefore requested all the stake holders to initiate and participate for the successful conduct of the campaign. With diarrhoea being a preventable and curable disease, the DC advised for undertaking proper hygiene and other preventive measures and steps.  The DC requested  the gathering and all the stake holders to spread awareness on ‘Stop Diarrhoea Campaign’  in the district.

Chief Medical Officer Noklak Dr. Victor NC announced  that, during the District Task Force on Stop Diarrhoea Campaign’ meeting  held on June 29, it discussed to set up a dedicated corner which will be stocked with ORS and Zinc tablets to be provided to the patients for free in all health units. Dr Victor also elaborated on the hygiene and preventive measures for stopping of diarrhoea.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by DPM Noklak C. Hosea and Vote of thanks was delivered by EAC Noklak Kathyinla.
