District Level Padayatra would be held on October 31 in Dimapur, as part of the Sardar@150 Unity March Campaign, on the eve of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Addressing media persons, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Dr Tinojongshi Chang informed that the District Level Padayatra organized by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in collaboration with the District Administration, Dimapur, and the police, with the cooperation of concerned line departments.
He informed that the rally would commence at 6 a.m. from City Tower, Dimapur and culminate at Dimapur Government College. Around 200 to 300 students, including NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and youth club members, will take part in the event. The district-level campaign will continue from October 31 to November 25, followed by the national-level event from November 26 to December 5.

The Padayatra aims to honor the principles and vision that Sardar Patel championed throughout his remarkable life, celebrating his enduring legacy and pivotal role in unifying India and ensuring its territorial integrity. The event also serves as a tribute to his leadership in establishing the All India Services and his contributions to building a strong and united nation.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all departments, institutions, and volunteers to ensure full participation and coordination to make the event a grand success.
