The ELEMENT project, titled “Enhancing Landscape and Ecosystem Management for Climate Resilient Agriculture in Nagaland (SoCRAN),” is funded by the World Bank. The project is structured around four main components: strengthening institutional capacities, restoring landscapes to enhance ecosystem services, promoting value chains based on landscapes, and effective project management and evaluation.

The project’s overarching goal is to restore and strengthen landscapes in Nagaland through effective management of forest landscapes and ecosystem services. This approach aims to promote climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods within the region.

The proposed activities within the project encompass a range of aspects including community livelihoods, integrated agricultural practices, forest-based livelihoods, pest and disease control, irrigation, mechanization, marketing infrastructure, afforestation, natural resource conservation, spring rejuvenation, catchment protection, and community capacity building.

During the technical session, Kiran Kumari from Synergy Technofin Pvt. Ltd. India facilitated the workshop. Representatives from various departments participated in this productive one-day event, contributing their expertise and insights to the ELEMENT project’s development.
