District-Level Unity March held in Kiphire

A District level Second Unity March (Pad Yatra) was organized by MY Bharat Kiphire in coordination with 14th NAP Battalion IR to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on December 9.

The event, held under the theme “Let Us Walk for Unity, Rise for Nation,” aimed to promote the spirit of Ek Bharat – Aatmanirbhar Bharat and pay tribute to the Iron Man of India for his pivotal role in national integration.

The Padayatra, which started from 14th NAP Battalion IR Ground and ended at Okhezung village, was flagged off by ER Rukuta Vero, MTI, 14th NAP Battalion IR. In his speech, he highlighted Sardar Patel’s childhood and his role in uniting the princely states to form a strong and independent India.

The event featured cultural performances by the Women Folk of Longthonger Village. Certificates and Acknowledgement were presented by the Chief Guest, ER Rukuta Vero, MYI, 14th Battalion IR, and Guests in recognition of their contributions.

Lumtsala Y Sangtam, in his vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to all participants, the Chief Guest, and the Commandant, Khruosutho (NPS), 14th NAP IR, for their support and cooperation. He also thanked all volunteers for their services, hoping for the same spirit of cooperation and responsibility in the future.

The event concluded successfully, emphasizing the importance of unity and nation building, inspired by the Iron will of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
