The NSS Wing of Yingli Government College, Longleng successfully conducted the District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament – 2026 on the theme “50 years of emergency: Lessons for Indian democracy” on February 27, at Yingli College Longleng.

The event saw participation of 8 students from across Longleng District, who took part in an elocution competition. The winners are:- Hentong (1st Rank), Rozichem (2nd Rank), and Chuthai L. Phom (3rd Rank).
The event was graced by Imkongnukla Ao, EAC Longleng HQ. Other dignitaries present included Hitesh Kumar, District Youth Officer and Imlichuba Phom, NYV Longleng. Dr T Temsu Imti, Principal of Yingli College, delivered the welcome address, while Associate Professor Dr Mahabir Jha, gave the keynote address.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr B Henshet Phom, Vice-Principal of the College. Over 205 students and NSS Volunteers attended the program.
