Kiphire may soon have its very own Library and Museum with the setting up of a committee for the same. This was decided during the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held on Tuesday at the conference hall of the DC Kiphire.

Several agendas were taken up for discussion in the meeting such as the upgradation of Class IX & X for Eastern Christian school, proposal for construction of fishponds, and financial aid for agriculture purposes at Zungki river under Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS). The DPDB meeting also approved the change of project for construction of footsteps.

PowerPoint presentations were delivered by Department of Art & Culture and Water Resources.

During the meeting John Tsulise, Chairman DPDB, requested the officers present to intimate the Board when travelling out of station for better coordination.

While reviewing the agendas of the earlier meeting, the Vice Chairman reminded officers present to delegate staff who can present the Department’s activities with better articulation.

The House also welcomed Superintendent of Police Chinese, NPS, District Soil officer Likhase, SDAO Erinbemo Shitiri and Hutoshe EE (R&B).
