With the launching of the Ayushman Bhavah campaign, districts in Nagaland has held coordination meetings and set up District Task Forces for the success of the campaign.
KIPHIRE
The District Task Force & Ayushman Bhavah committee organised a meeting and discussed the action plan for Ayushman Bhavah Campaign 2023 at the DC’s Official chamber, Kiphire on 16 September, informed a DIPR report.
Chaired by DC & Committee chairman, John Tsulise Sangtam, action plans were discussed for enhanced awareness on various health care schemes, and to saturate critical health care services in rural and urban areas under the programme of Ayushman Bhavah.
Briefing the members, CMO Chubala stated that Ayushman Bhavah is an initiative of the Government of India, under The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. She added that the campaign is an umbrella initiative for enhanced awareness on various health care schemes, and to saturate critical health care services in rural and urban areas.
The members discussed on Ayushman Apke Dwar for distribution of Ayushman cards to all eligible beneficiaries under PM-JAY Scheme, starting from September 17, and to ensure no eligible beneficiary is left out. The House also discussed to hold weekly health Melas (Ayushman Mela) at the level of CHCs w.e.f 17th September 2023, to ensure services in obstetrics and gynaecology, Pediatrics, Surgery, ENT, Eye and Psychiatric etc.
The members also discussed on village level and urban sabhas to be held on 2nd October 2023 to enhance awareness on health care schemes such as Ayushman cards, ABHA IDs, Sickle disease, immunization, TB patient identification.
Meanwhile, the medical department also announced the outbreak of dengue disease in Kiphire district. It was informed that out of 8 (eight) samples examined, 5 were tested positive, and report for ten samples are still awaited. DC, John Tsulise expressed concern in controlling the spread of disease at the earliest possible time. The members discussed to create awareness in promoting cleanliness in the district, so as to eliminate all potential breeding grounds of Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes.
MOKOKCHUNG
A co-ordination meeting of the District Task Force for Ayushman Bhavah Campaign for Mokokchung district was held under the Chairmanship of ADC Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe at DC’s Conference Room, Mokokchung on September 16.
Chairing the meeting, the ADC highlighted the main objectives of the Ayushman Bhavah Campaign and realising one of the SDG goals of achieving good health and well-being. He also urged the participation of all the stakeholders and line departments to make the campaign a success.
During the meeting, the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung said the objective of the campaign is to ensure the coverage of health-care scheme. Under Mokokchung district, 42 villages will be covered under the campaign. Members were also intimated on the non-functioning of the portal, but once it is functional operators shall be sent to the field.
The House deliberated thoroughly on various issues in ensuring success of the Ayushman Bhavah Campaign. It discussed that the ten teams with two operators per team shall be formed for Mokokchung district and one team shall be reserved and nine teams shall be sent to the field each covering one RD Block. One Data Entry Operator of the NSRLM shall be allocated to each block along with one operator identified from the various departments under Mokokchung district. The DEO shall be responsible for arrangement of laptop and biometric devices. The transportation of the operators to the field site shall be provided by DEF, Mokokchung and expense incurred for POL shall accordingly reimbursed. DPRO Mokokchung will be assigned the necessary publicity for the campaign, which will be informed in local dailies and through All India Radio.

NOKLAK
The Ayushman Bhavah programme was launched at DH Noklak on 17th Sept 2023 in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Arikumba, NCS.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted on the various schemes launched by the Health Ministry for free and cashless treatment from all empanelled hospitals across the country. With the launching of Ayushman Bhavah, all the citizens of the country will be enrolled for free medical treatment covering all offices, institutions and villages under Noklak district. He urged all stakeholders in the district to co-operate with the implementing agencies for the successful conduct of the Ayushman Bhavah campaign.
In his speech, Dr Victor, NC CMO cum MS Noklak encouraged the public to avail the benefits of various health schemes. He also urged the gathering to come forward and get themselves registered and be covered under the health scheme, informing that health melas will be organised in all the respective health care units.
Short testimonials about the benefits of AB PMJAY card and free diagnostic, treatment for TB were delivered by Supo and Sukoi.
