The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNS) has condemned the murder of a B.Th. final-year student, Noghuvi K. Sumi, whose lifeless body was discovered in Walford area, Dimapur on 3rd November 2024.

Expressing shock and sadness, the Union stated that the heinous act “reflects a disturbing disregard for human life.” The brutal killing of an innocent youth has sent shockwaves across our community, leaving us with a sense of outrage and grief, it added.

The DNSU has urged the authorities to carry out a thorough and swift investigation into this incident, ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

Further, it appealed the public to cooperate with the investigating authorities and share any information that may assist in the investigation.

The DNSU stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and friends of Noghuvi, and we demand accountability for this heinous crime, the student body asserted.
