The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) issued a formal appeal to all government employees urging them to maintain punctual attendance and dedication to their official duties in a press release on 18th July, 2024.

“Serving in Dimapur is a privilege that entails a high level of responsibility and accountability,” emphasised the DNSU. The press release stated that DNSU will focus primarily in three fields; Education, Health and Development.

Additionally, the Union also stated that they will conduct regular surprise inspections in all government offices within and around Dimapur, with a special focus on district hospitals, educational institutions, and development boards to ensure the highest standards of governance.

“We expect employees to demonstrate their commitment to their roles and responsibilities, setting a positive precedent for others to follow,” stated DNSU.

The press release also stated that DNSU will scrutinise the district hospitals to ensure quality healthcare services, educational institutions to eradicate proxy teaching and ensure quality education, and development boards to promote transparency and accountability in development projects.

“We are resolute in our commitment to promoting excellence in governance and education and expect full cooperation from all stakeholders. Any defaulters will face strict legal action from the DNSU office,” stated DNSU.
