The Directorate of Higher Education has notified the guidelines for Registration and Regulation of Coaching Centres in the State of Nagaland approved by the Cabinet vide Letter No. HTE/CC/1-4/2020 Dated Kohima, the 26th November 2025.

The objective of the guidelines is for regulation of coaching centres for better guidance and assistance to the students in any study programme, competitive examinations or academic support.

The guidelines would provide framework for Registration and Regulation of Coaching Centres, minimum standard requirements to run a coaching centre, to safeguard the interest of students enrolled in coaching centres, to advise coaching centres focused on curricular activities as well as for holistic development of students, and to provide career guidance and psychological counselling and mental well-being of the students.

The Department has informed to all the existing coaching centres to apply for registration through the Deputy Commissioner of their respective districts within a period of three months from the date of notification.
