Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur won the coveted title of overall champion of the Dimapur Inter School Athletics Sports 2023 which was conducted at the Government Higher Secondary School Ground, in Half Nagarjan, Dimapur from 7th-9th November.

The closing ceremony of Dimapur Inter School Athletics Sports 2023, held on 9th November, was graced by Nini Sekhose, President of the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Central, as Guest of Honor. The Chief Guest for the ceremony was Khiuzan Kaurinta, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of Dimapur.

In a post on X, Abu Metha, Adviser to Nagaland Chief Minister and Secretary General of the Nagaland Olympic Association and also the Vice President of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), informed that the Inter-School Athletics Meet in Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Athletics, which is affiliated to NOA and AFI.
Metha said that over 400 girls and boys along with officials participated in the event. “These little building blocks will form the foundations for the future vision of witnessing our girls and boys on medal positions at the highest levels,” he added.
Congratulating all behind the scene of the successful event, the Secretary General of NOA emphasized that athletics is the foundation of most physical sports and asserted, “these young athletes will become champions not only on the track and field but in other sports arenas as well.”
