Doordarshan to air special program “Dil Se Doordarshan, DD@65” to mark 65th Anniversary on 15th Sep

New Delhi: From being an experimental broadcast, Doordarshan is now among largest broadcasting organizations in the world

Doordarshan, India’s public service broadcaster, will be celebrating its 65th anniversary on 15th September 2024 (Sunday). To mark the occasion, a special program “Dil Se Doordarshan, DD@65” will be aired at 10.00 AM and the repeat telecast on 8.00 PM on 15th Sept. celebrating the rich legacy of Doordarshan only on DD National, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has informed. “Dil Se Doordarshan, DD@65” will be a grand gala event featuring a host of entertainers.

From its humble beginnings with an experimental broadcast in Delhi, Doordarshan has grown to become one of the largest broadcasting organizations in the world, the Ministry stated. It noted the monumental evolution of the broadcaster while steadfastly maintaining its commitment to public service broadcasting. Today, the Doordarshan has 35 channels across its network giving every region the flair of its own language through its 6 National Channels, 28 regional channels and 1 International Channel.

On this momentous occasion, Doordarshan renews its commitment to its mission of providing reliable, accessible, and quality content to every citizen of India and affirms to stand ready to continue its journey of innovation, inclusion, and inspiration, it added.
