Longleng District Planning and Development Board Meeting for the month of March 2026, was held at DPDB Hall, Longleng on March 5 under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB Longleng, A. Pongshi Phom.

The meeting commenced with a welcome address to the MLA and chairman DPDB Longleng by SDO (c) Longleng, Pukha lam, on behalf of DPDB Longleng.

MLA and chairman DPDB Longleng, A. Pongshi Phom in his address, welcomed the members to the monthly meeting and emphasised the importance of being sincere and attentive in the board meeting.

Agendas discussed in the meeting included, establishment of Government Primary School (GPS) at Anaki (c) submitted by sr. DEO Longleng, where the house approved the proposal and agreed to forward the matter to the higher authority. On Adoption of the National Highways Act 1956 for land acquisition in respect of National Highway projects, the house discussed on the status, rights and protection of landowners under the National Highways Act 1956.

Agriculture Officer Longleng, Chingsang Phom, on behalf of district Agriculture department presented the department project and scheme implemented in the district through a power point presentation.

The chairman entrusted the Department of PWD R&B and Housing for the presentation in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by the chairman.
