The Tseminyu District Development & Planning Board cum Advent Christmas was celebrated at DC conference hall, Tseminyu on December 11. The program was chaired by Mhomo Tungoe. ADC Tseminyu. In his welcome address, MLA & Chairman DPDB Tseminyu, Jwenga Seb said the main purpose of the board is to serve the people and urged the members of the board to discharge their duties with dedication and commitment.
DC Tseminyu highlighted the last meeting minutes and declaration of Tobacco Free zone offices in all the government departments under the district. Informing that fishing, hunting and liquor are being banned, he said it can only be achieved through the church and people’s participation.
The program commenced with invocation prayer by Dr Asano Sophie, SMO Tseminyu followed by a congregational hymn, Hark the herald Angels sing and Scripture reading by Sentimenla Pongener, DPO Social Welfare Department. Special number was presented by Mhathung Ngullie, EAC Tseminyu. Wasenmo Apon, Principal BHSS, Tseminyu shared the word of God. The program culminated with a vote of thanks pronounced by Meyikokba Jamir DPO & member secretary DPDB, Tseminyu.
Noklak:

DC Noklak, P Mono Khiamniungan speaking at Noklak DPDB meeting
The Noklak DPDB meeting was held on December 11 at DC’s Conference Hall, Noklak under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, P Mono Khiamniungan. The DC welcomed all the members present and introduced the new DPDB members to the board.
The meeting follows by reviewing the last meeting minutes and deliberated on the following agendas. The board constituted a Verification Committee for LADF 2025-25 under 56 Assembly Constituency, Noklak and 57 Thonoknyu Assembly Constituency respectively. The committee members include, SDO, Civil, Noklak as the Convener, EAC Nokhu as Member/Secretary and EE PWD (R&B) as Member for 56 Noklak A/C.

The committee members for the 57 Thonoknyu Assembly Constituency includes – SDO Civil, Thonoknyu as Convener, EAC (Panso) as Member Secretary and SDO PWD (R&B) as Member.
The board also discussed the proposal for creation of Government Primary School at Thangoun village and at Jejeiking village submitted by the respective Villages Council Chairmen. After a brief deliberation by the members and verified by the SDEO of the Education Department, Noklak, the board forwarded the proposal to the higher authority for necessary action.
The proposal for creation of Sub-Centre at Thangoun village, submitted by the CMO Noklak was also discussed and forwarded to the department for consideration.
The Elements Project Nagaland presented their departmental activities during the meeting. This was followed by the Pre-Christmas programme.
