The skipper of the host team, Kevisanyü Peseyie delivered a stunning brace while teammates Kevizakie, Nisede and Thejasetuo netted a goal each to boost Kohima’s goal tally. Meluri’s Asie scored a late goal in the second half but it was too late to do much damage to their opponent’s scoresheet.

In the second match, Chümoukedima produced a dominant display sweeping aside Noklak with a convincing 4-0 victory that underlined their attacking strength and tactical discipline.

The day’s third match also saw a similar one-sided scoreline as Mokokchung delivered a commanding performance, routing Kiphire 6-0 in a contest marked by clinical finishing, relentless pressure, and defensive lapses from their opponents.

The tone was set early when Nyeiwang of Kiphire inadvertently turned the ball into his own net in the 12th minute, gifting Mokokchung an early advantage.

Barely six minutes later, Tongpangnokdang doubled the lead with a composed strike to put Mokokchung firmly in control.

Kiphire struggled to recover from the early setbacks, and Mokokchung striker Sentisang took full advantage, scoring a devastating hat-trick with goals in the 36th, 41st, and 48th minutes.
