The first match of the 23rd Dr. T. Ao Inter District Championships Trophy was played between the Host team Tuensang and Kiphire team with an impressive score of 10-0, on September 17.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the 23rd Dr. T. Ao Inter District Championships Trophy 2024 at the Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground, Tuensang.

The inaugural and opening match was witnessed by a large gathering from neighbouring districts and villages with much enthusiasm. The prestigious 23rd Inter District Championships Trophy held in honor of Dr. T. Ao, is being held in Eastern Nagaland for the first time.
The Tuensang team consecutively score 10 goals against Kiphire emerging as the winners in the first match.
