The Mokokchung, Mon, Wokha, Niuland, and Phek District Football Associations registered early wins on the second day, September 18, of the 23rd inter-district football championship Dr.T. Ao Trophy 2024. The championship is currently being held at Loyem Memorial Astro Turf ground Tuensang.
The first match was played between Mokokchung District Football Association and Longleng District Football Association where Mokokchung DFA won with a score of 4- 3. The 2nd match played between Mon and Noklak registered victory for Mon in final minutes with the score line added goal 2 -1

Wokha DFA won in the third match against Tseminyu 2-1. In the fourth match, Niuland DFA beat Dimapur, a match that poised equally between the team had numerous opportunities to find the back of the net but it was not their day to find the net for Dimapur team as Niuland overpowered dimapur in the 4th match of Dr T Ao trophy.
The last match of the day was played between Chümoukedima DFA and Phek DFA with the latter emerging victorious with a score of 2-1.
