On day three of the ongoing 23rd Dr T Ao Inter-District Football Championship, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Tuensang and Phek registered wins while Peren and Kohima drew in their respective matches at the Loyem Memorial Ground at Tuensang.

Peren DFA faced Kohima DFA in the 1st match on Thursday which ended in a draw. It was a match filled with goals as both teams scored 4 goals each.

In the 2nd match, Zunheboto defeated debutant Shamator by 4 goals to 2.

Mokokchung beat Kiphire 4-1 in the 3rd match. The Mokokchung team was quick to score. The Kiphire team fought back with the equaliser but failed to produce any key moments to find the net.

The 4th match of the day was between host team Tuensang and Longleng. The stadium was buzzling with support for the home team who blanked Longleng 2-0.

In the last match of the day, Phek beat Dimapur 2-0 in a tensed match.
