A heart-warming and community-driven event took place on October 6 at Nagaland Coffee as a group of dedicated volunteers organized a Book and Musical Instrument Drive to benefit the Rintaniemi Neighbourhood Children Home.
The event saw an overwhelming response from generous donors who contributed books and instruments, demonstrating their unwavering support for this noble cause.
The primary objective of the event was to collect books and musical instruments to establish a fully-functional library and initiate a free music program for the children at Rintaniemi Neighbourhood Children Home. According to the Organizers, the Drive aimed to provide these underprivileged children with educational resources and opportunities for artistic expression.
The event kicked off in the morning, with volunteers and donors gathering at Nagaland Coffee. According to the Organizers, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and a sense of community where donations poured in steadily, with individuals and groups bringing a wide variety of books and musical instruments. In addition to the donation drive, the event also featured a volunteer recruitment program for the upcoming library and music program.

Expressing gratitude to the donors, Tiapong Tzudir, one of the volunteers, said “It’s heartwarming to see how our community has come together today to support the children at Rintaniemi Neighbourhood Children Home. With these books and musical instruments, we can open doors to new worlds and creative outlets for these young souls.”

As the drive continues, the children of Rintaniemi Neighbourhood Children Home can look forward to a brighter future filled with the joy of reading and the magic of music,” remarked the Organisers.
