Two civilians, including an eight-year-old girl, were killed and four others seriously injured after an alleged Indian drone strike on Khenmoi-Loiyi village in the East Konyak region on the evening of October 20.

Disclosing this in a press statement, NSCN/GPRN (Yung Aung) said that these violent attacks expose India’s complete disregard for human life which “we consider a clear act of genocide against the Naga people, that cannot be justified under any pretext or vague explanation”.

Condemning the attack, the NSCN/GPRN (YA) said whatever the reason may be, attack on innocent civilians and children is unacceptable and flagrant violation of international norms and laws and a heinous crime against humanity.

“This is not an isolated attack or a case of collateral damage, infact this is the second deliberate drone attacks by Indian military on Naga civilians this year, following similar attacks on 13 July 2025,” the NSCN/GPRN said adding, “Such irresponsible actions has make our people vulnerable to risk of further attacks proving that India has turned enemy of the Naga people”.

Through this chain of crimes India has degraded herself before the world by exposing her expansionist politics and terrorist mentality, it added.

The outfit called upon the international community to take urgent actions against India and hold her accountable for the “crime against humanity”. It also called upon all Nagas Civil Societies and responsible citizens to join hands in condemning this attack.

“Through collective strength, Nagas will resist India’s domination and exploitation and must never renounce our freedom,” it asserted.

The NSCN/GPRN cautioned India that threatening the Naga revolutionaries by killing innocent public is not a worthy goal and she would never profit anything from the misery of the Naga public.

The NSCN/GPRN also stood in full solidarity with the people of Khenmoi-Loiyi village in this moment of fear and sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their precious ones in this terror attack and wished speedy recovery for those who are injured.
