The District Task Force (DTF) on Immunization meeting was held on December 4, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Longleng, W Manpai Phom NCS, at DPDB hall, Longleng.
Surveillance Medical Officer, National Public Health Surveillance (NPSE) Dr. Mohammad Abdul Haleem Azhar from Mokokchung, delivered a detailed report on AFP surveillance update in Longleng District. He also showed the ways forward to focus on VPD Surveillance and MR elimination through PowerPoint – ensure all blocks have achieved MKI and MR, regular sharing of feedback to District and Blocks, regular field visits along with Block and District Officials.
UIP/RCH, Dr Imtijungshi delivered a detailed report on Human Papillomavirus Vaccination (HPV). He also spoke about cervical cancer and mentioned that the vaccination has been given in 155 countries around the globe to ensure safety and effectiveness.

In conclusion, the chairman urged the gathering to prepare at the ground level, so that the launching of vaccination will be smooth with higher percentage of vaccination. He also mentioned the achievements of the district on registration of CMHIS and Ayushman Bharat, and requested the students’ community to encourage their parents and localities for registration to avail the benefit provided by the government.
All line departments attended the meeting.
