Tuensang: Patton encourages police personnel to continue their dedicated service for well-being of people

Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister (Home and Border Affairs), Yanthungo Patton virtually inaugurated the offices of 3rd NAP Commandant in Tuensang and the Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto on Monday from the Mini Conference Hall of the Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Kohima, DIPR informed.

Speaking at the event, Y Patton praised the 3rd NAP Battalion Tuensang for their 55 years of exceptional service in maintaining law and order within and outside the state. He acknowledged the bravery and courage of the battalion and also commended the Nagaland Government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and development activities across the state. Patton also encouraged the police personnel to continue their dedicated service for the well-being of the people, fostering unity among all ranks through the new office complex.

The Deputy CM virtually unveiled the inauguration plaques of both the offices.

Short speeches were delivered by Rupin Sharma, IPS Director General of Police Nagaland, and P. Beshang Mongba Chang, Minister of PWD Housing and Mechanical Engineer and KT Sukhalu, Advisor, Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology.

“The inauguration plans were made for physical mode but due to inclement weather at Kohima, Tuensang and Zunheboto, it had to be shifted to virtual mode,” a statement by Nagaland Police said.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Liremo Lotha, IPS IGP NAP, representatives from neighboring villages, and members of the civil society.

The event was officiated by Renchamo P. Kikon (IPS), Additional Director General of Police (Administration) who also delivered the welcome address and opening remarks. Er. Finson, SE, PEP, presented a comprehensive Technical Report by shedding light on the construction and technical aspects of the new office premises.
