Dy CM Y Patton welcomes safe release of abducted Head GB, commends Police for swift action

Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has taken note of the safe release of Kiyeto Zhimomi, Head Gaon Burah of Vikuho Village and a businessman, who was abducted earlier. Expressing relief over his release, Patton said that Zhimomi is now under care while acknowledging the physical and psychological trauma he endured during the ordeal.

The Deputy Chief Minister placed on record his appreciation for the Nagaland Police for their swift and prompt action, which played a crucial role in ensuring the safe release of the victim. He said the timely intervention once again reflects the commitment and professionalism of the police force in safeguarding public safety and responding decisively to acts of violence, intimidation, and criminality.

Reiterating the government’s firm stand, Patton stated that abduction and violence in any form are unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the state. He emphasized that the authorities will proceed strictly in accordance with established legal procedures as the investigation unfolds, adding that the government remains committed to ensuring accountability through lawful means.
