Dzükou Valley tourist’s mortal remain taken to Tripura after postmortem

The mortal remains of the tourist, Pranab Das recovered from Dzükou Valley was taken to Tripura by his family on February 8 after the completion of the postmortem examination and all necessary legal formalities

The deceased, who had gone missing while visiting Dzükou Valley in Kohima district, was earlier found dead following an extensive search operation by rescue teams and local volunteers. Authorities conducted the postmortem to ascertain the cause of death before handing over the body to the bereaved family.

Family members of deceased Das arrived in Kohima on to complete the required procedures and subsequently escorted the mortal remains to Tripura for the final rites.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, and officials have stated that more details will be shared as they emerge.
